Hair combing tips

  • Try to comb your hair at least twice a day – when you get up and before going to bed. If you have long hair it’s better to braid it before sleep to avoid tangles in the morning.
  • Rub some vegetable oil or hair detangler into your headskin and hair to get rid of tangles. Also use conditioner after washing – keep it for a few minutes to avoid tangles and comb your hair through more easily.
  • Often hair combing and brushing stimulates blood circulation in the scalp and makes your hair grow faster. Sometimes it can even replace frequent washing, as it can effectively remove dirt from your headskin and hair.
  • It is believed that the hair well-combed before washing will be combed and brushed better after it as well. It is advised to comb short hair from the roots and long hair – from the ends gradually moving up to the roots.
  • Avoid combing wet hair. If it is still necessary, don’t use metal hairbrushes – use plastic or wooden combs instead.
  • Always use you personal combs and brushes. Sharing them with someone else can lead to dandruff or some other diseases of the scalp.
  • As for drying, the best way is to let your hair dry naturally, though, a warm towel is also pretty good sometimes.
  • Try not to use a hair-drier very often. However, if your hair-dress demands blow-dry arranging use cold drying mode when possible and keep a hair-drier not less than 40 cm from your head.
